I did my first rudder touch two days ago with my ultimate fx 3d! It was great! I wish I had a pic or video but I don't. It was awsome cause I didn't just touch the gound with it when hovering but I drug the tail across the ground before I pulled it out so now it looks like I took sandpaper to the tail. That kind of damage is totally awsome though! |

spoiler-man, how do you like that Jerry's Spoiler? What's in the nose? I have a short kit for one of these, but it looks like one heck og a build. A few years ago a local pilot had a Jerry's Big Bear(?), the predecessor to the Spoiiler, with a YS91AC, and it and he, who is an excellent pilot, were really impressive. DKjens

Here you go spoiler I have not been able to get someone to get a picture of my OMP GS 540 with it's tail dirty yet. I will say that I pulled off a torque roll landing with it later this same day. I have also included the picture used to create my avatar.

DKjens, This was a picture of my 3rd or 4th spoiler, I have built about 5 of them. I live next to Jerry and fly with him alot. I have alot of planes but I guess that I put about 500 flights a year on my spoiler. I am running an OS 160 with a header and Smith pipe for power, it will burst out of a hover with athority. The other plan that you are taking about is a Jerry's Big Boy. Morris hobbies has it in an arf now, and it does fly good. Spoiler-man
