Sight unseen, If you're having problems keeping the HR's smooth, consider backing off elevator throw on high rates... Helped me a TON!

Definitely right about reducing the throws..I started off trying with my 3d rates..no way I was keeping up with that..I tweaked my low rates and removed almost all of the expo and they intstantly got smoother and more controllable..I got no issues going in a circle so I just need to practice timing when the plane is inverted/upright..

Backing off the rates is a crutch use it to learn but learn to moderate your stick inputs so its easy to transition to other moves that require more surface travel.

Concentrate on keeping the plane going straight and just let your thumbs figure it out. That's what I do, it all comes down to practice. And a sim is a great way to do it so you don't look look like $hit at the field.

Don't be discouraged if you just can't seem to get it too. Because one day, I assure your brain clicks and your thumbs are right on.

P.S. I've been on the simulator for about 100-200 minutes per-day 7 days a week, and I still have trouble switching roll directions.( I roll right better than left).

I can't say I do 100-200 minutes per day but I too still need to improve and have troubles rolling left. Right is easier for some reason (sticks are easier to operate).

The area most people have trouble with is not using as much "other" rudder and/or elevator. Prob.: Large right rudder, little left rudder. Or, Large pull, less push. = deviating from the line. You'll need to use the same (large) amounts in BOTH directions.

hmmm, i like roling left better because it keeps my hands closer together and i prefer "pushing" the stick(left ail) to "pulling" the stick (rt ail)

also, practicing getting the inputs exactly rythmic with the transmitter when the plane is not flying is how i taught myself to keep things consistent
