Yeah, I've just got to ask this, and I'd like a real honest answer from TopFlight36, if he's around. So, how's that Goldbreg flying for you? Sad to say, there was nothing anybody here COULD say, you'd already bought that. TOTALLY different bird, completely different in almost every way. You probably powered it with a mid-sized glow motor and it's probably gone through most of its useful life by now if you've flown it at all, and if it has even lived this long. So, what did you find?

Hmmm, I was just reading back through this thread. I must have been feeling like TopFlite 36 really cheated himself with that Goldberg. I'm not usually so in-your-face in here. Perhaps I was having a bad day and was a little ugly that day. I'm still curious how that worked out for him. I myself bought a Wild Hare 540T and I've got it approaching completion, I have to say that I find it to be an awesome ARF package (I bought the package deal). I almost hate to call it an ARF, it goes so far beyond what I've seen in ARFs before. But from what my flying buddies are telling me, ARFs all over are coming through more complete so they can compete in the market. Still, I'm very, very impressed. I'm in the middle of a move and can hardly wait to get back to work on it. I also started a build thread on it and was going hot and heavy when things started happening fast around here and suddenly we're moving 2500 miles. But at least in San Antonio, Texas the flying weather is awesome pretty much year-round. The Texas guys don't fly so much in the winter there, but their winter is pretty much like our late summer in Maine, so it's all flying weather to me!

I don't know about the beard, but the neon checkerboard, now I LIKE that! I have to admit, I don't really like the color scheme on mine and I've been trying to decide whether to strip it and recover (I'm anal about having a striking color scheme on my planes) or perhaps try to do something like this. I caught the flames on the wheelpants....pure fun.

I noticed that some of the covering on the wings isn't sticking as well as I would like, which started me thinking about a rework of the covering. If not, there's always Balsarite to seal them down.
