if you go to that link to hitec and go into servos you will see a discontinued section. they are 605BB. quick rnundown on the specs....94oz of torque and .13 for 60 degrees on 6v which is wat i would be using.

The 645s would obviously be better but I think the 605s would be okay. Just remember that when you put a longer servo arm on it for 3d maneuvers that it will lower the torque value. You could also consider only getting the 645s for the ones you will be using the longer servo arms for but I think you will be okay especially if you are doing 3d. Flutter is only a problem at higher speeds but I think the 605s will be okay. Thats just my opinion and I am not quite as experience as some of these other guys so just take it for what its worth.

I use Futaba 3010s in the tail to save weight over metal gears, and 645MGs in the wings. The 3010s have 90in/oz and the 645 are 133 i think. They have worked great so far. Go with better servos, I have seen one flutter apart while using junk, mine has over 400 flights on it now, and its still going strong.

o the 3010s have 90 oz of torque. and i would think the elevator would have the most stress with walls and such good to hear they are still holding out after 400 flights i could only hope it would last that long. atleast with the way i fly. anyone else have some experience to share.

I had Futaba S9202 servos all around in my Funtana left them in there for 3 flights

put in Hitec 5645s and have put 100 flights on them without a problem. 168 In/Oz at 6 volts

pick something else to cheap out on other than your servos....you wont regret it

Make sure to go with good metal gear servos and watch the throttle management. Don't forget to seal your hinge gaps. Go for around 100oz of torque @ 6+ volts. You'll have tons of flights as long as hangar rash doesn't get it first.

Good luck

i wouldnt wanna cheap out and buy a stupid tigre. i couldnt take the noise. 94 oz should be enough i know you guys are gonna say ball it up if i want but thats ok. i cant afford much more because i dont have a job which will hopefully change soon. 94 ounces is close enough to 100. the manual calls for 82 oz optimal servos and 54 minimul.

Don't go HT605s,they strip out the gears really easy..I would say 645mgs are the way.Try selling stuff and save for a little while. It will be worth it.. I got the 645mgs and they havent skiped a beat.. Loosing a good $600.00 plane isnt worth it dude.. You can always use them in another plane..

Peace out..

Those 605's will be fine, just remember that it's a lightweight 90 size 3D plane and not 40% or a pylon racer. I used 635HB's on mine with no problems and if I got another I would use them again. I would say to save your pennies for a Saito 125 instead of that 160. By the time you buy a Pitts muffler and a Perry pump (you will need them with that 160) it's not THAT much more expensive.

well if you used 635s and were fine that gives me some confidence. they are less torque and have karbonite gears too. has anyone actually had a servo fail in this aircraft due to a broken gear. and sleepyC ouch man ouch. if i crashed it i would so post it but ouch. about the saito man ive heard the 160 is awsome and id want the 150 if anything and thats big $$$. i love OSs theyve done me so much good over the years never had a probem EVER. thanks for the replies guys i started this morning and am already on page 3 but that happens EVERYBODY has a funtana. if i do end up having a failing servo ill let you guys know and you can have your glory. but feel free to post any other experince that might help. thanks guys.
