Sure wish there was video, it sounds like you did a great job saving the plane.

I glued the wheel pant back together.....it'll be a spare since I ordered new ones. Also is a pick of whats left of the cowl. The 3W fuel dot was ok, I just took it out. |

A little CA and a little glass, that cowl would be as good as new! Dang, Sweetpea, that cowl is a mess. I guess I know what I have to look forward to should a prop ever come off on me. You got her back in the air yet?

The bottom of the cowl has already been reglassed when my plane had radio problems about 6months ago......same with the wheel pants. The cowl is actually missing a fairly large peice on the side and front. Infact its missing part of the nose ring. So it'll be simpler and lighter to go with a new cowl. Aerotech said my stuff shipped out Friday.....I expect it late this week or early next week. Lets see whats on my table.... -Trying to finish 32% Su-26 for my backup (now primary) IMAC bird -Backup (for now primary) pattern Eclipse needs incidence checks and some PM love. -Edge needs to be rebuilt for Primary IMAC -Primary Pattern needs to be built for Pattern also. |

started the rebuild since the weather was too crappy to fly today. I've got the underside patched and ready for final sand prior to recovering. I've got the motorbox rebuilt....glue is drying. Hope to get the cowl mounted tonight also. |
