Did you check the #5 Fetzer valve? Or the flux capacitors? Those are usually the culprits, but the next thing to look for is a loose nut behind the gimbals. Just yankin yer chain Sleep, I feel for your loss and I know it sucks when you can not identify a definite failure. I would however still approach the guy and let him know that you will not charge him for the loss, that you are just trying to get a definitive answer to what may have caused the failure. For all you know he may have gotten home and opened up his transmitter carrying case and found his radio somehow got switched on and never even knew it. Stranger things have happened...

Sorry for your loss Sleepy. I love my Panzl too; no idea why they never became as popular as other designs. How are the wings? That fuse is totally repairable (not easy - but repairable.) Al has a sale on ARF's and maybe he'll make a deal on a PAK... If it was a shoot-down I hope the guy knows it and stews in guilt until he pays up or Karma takes over. I dread a similar scenario. I tried 2.4 but came back to 72 for now. I'm looking forward to FAAST too. |
