Here's another one my son did. Forgot to plug in his ailerons and didn't do a flight check. Also forgot to cut the throttle back as it went vertical, straight in. LOL

Low voltage lockout....... OPERATOR ERROR- NOT 2.4.... Would have taken field pics, but couldn't stop bawling my eyes out  long enough to get the camera....

Today was a sad day. I learned that as cool as I think I am while flying a Yak in G4, that coolness simply does not translate to a couple-happy Do in knife edge while 3 mistakes low. The worst part is that I wanted to retire it weeks ago, but haven't completed my 86" Yak yet...I just HAD to keep flying it. Now I MUST get that Yak done- and hopefully before the Huckfest! The impact broke the engine mount, which folded the saito 125 back into the engine mount, creasing the manifold. Also, you'll notice the header and muffler detached from the cylinder- and it took a nice chunk of the head casting with it. If it wasn't for that engine being broken I would be calling QQ tomorrow for a 69" Yak, but repairing the saito would put that project over budget- so I'll just focus on the 86"er that's in the back bedroom. |
