I thought Breakstuff's bird made it through the mid air and was repairable? I heard Gerry's was confetti.

well, as i finished my first sequence of the round i came around and was ready to enter the box, but the judges were'nt, so i was gonna do a trim pass, but b4 i knew it a 1.20 size cap hit me, im not sure exactly where it hit me but all it did was jerk my plane a little that i could see, so i thought i was ok, but i had NOTHING! I watched it for about 15 sec go from straight and level to going through the trees. What we came to the conclusion of why i lost contact was we found the regulators with a wire ripped out of each one, then one of my battery wires and a couple others were cut clean! Since the bottom of the plane was stringers i think the prop of the other plane sliced right into it all, because his prop was broke all the way to the hub. There is still half a wing and 2 8411's in a about a 70ft tree. Very sad...the motor has .003 run out on the hub, which i dont think is bad, just clean'r up and she should be ready. About half of my 8411's stripped or busted, lost the ignition batt somewhere, both regulators might be repairable, not sure. Only two switches survived and my matchboxes survived! And also saved the instrument panel. So it cant get too much worse then that.

well the plane did survive the mid-air, its just it didnt survive the autopilot landing. But this just goes to show that no matter how many receivers and batt. u got, something can still take'r down. I had 2 receivers and two batt. and had the plane split on each receiver, but little did that help my situation.

Here is the video I took, I was one of the guys that recorded it, a guy named Tim stayed with it longer, I dropped the camera because it freaked me out. I flew there all weekend and didn't see that tree. Gerald cracked me up, he turned around to the crowd, which was silent , and said "woops" He is a class act!
