Nice day today, a day to go flying. packed up my ultra stick 1.20 and headed out. started her up, taxied out and took her off. bout 7 mins into the flight i decided i would do a couple of inverted passes (sure you can guess where this is going) before landing for my first flight of the day. on my second inverted pass a guy passed by my line of sight, i looked at his plane unintentionally and back at my plane pulled up on the elevator( still inverted) and then the ground suddenly jumped up and gobbled up the plane . my only excuse, The Taliban hijacked my plane and did this. learned a few things by this accident being this is my first nasty crash so i didnt walk away empty handed. but the day didnt end all the way bad. i was able to make it to the local hobby shop and pick me up a new showtime 4d, Yeehaw ![]() |

I did the exact same thing with my trainer this past weekend. I should have rolled out of being inverted instead of looping straight into the ground. Was two mistakes high but I also made two mistakes. One I looped out of if and two I didn't throttle down to properly loop out of it. I only paid $70.00 dollars for the trainer and it served it's purpose. Now these mistakes are burned in my head. Almost done with my Ultra Stick 60 anyways! |

Well glad to see we weren't the only casualties of the weekend....... I drilled a chipmunk on sunday....... took two of us to pull the motor out of the ground, it was buried past the firewall...... Ouch.... Good news is the motor is OK but the plane is more screwed up than a soup sandwich..... wouldn't have been to bad but it wasn't my plane........ OOOOOOOps.....
