Well I won't be taking my Yak to the Huckfest, need to order a fuse. Everything was done except the balancing. I wanted to do a range check and rpm test before I mounted the cowl, so to the backyard I went. I had my son hold the plane and I fired it up, walked for 280 feet before I started to get a couple of minor glitches, walked back in about 10 feet, sweet, no glitches all is good. I walked back to the plane and told my son he could let go now, I wanted to check the ground handling and then shut it down. I taxied it for about 30 feet and blipped the throttle, the thing took off toward a 4-place snowmobile trailer. I slammed the throttle down, hit the choke switch, nothing...2 or 3 seconds later it was up against the trailer with the fuse broke in half. The prop is shot and the fuse is shot, but everything else seems fine. When I got to the plane, I noticed the battery was unplugged, I didn't fasten it permenant, because I wasn't sure where I would need to put my packs for balance. I sure wish I had both packs in it from the start, but my second one was on the charger, making sure it was charged for tomorrows maiden. I guess it doesn't matter now !!I just checked the transmitter and the failsafe was set to normal, with the throttle going to 20%. So at this point I'm not sure why it didn't go to failsafe, the receiver is a brand new Futaba synthesized. Here are a few pics, I'm kinda' tired now...

| It's official, thanks Verne... ![]() | Thanks guys, I have a 33% Extra, kinda old and beat up, but the motor would pull it fine. If I can get the fuse by the end of the week, I should have it close by the Huckfest, I'll bring it and finish it there.
