Well, I was outside in front of my house flying my Ultimate FX 3d foamie, like I often do, enjoying the weather and the fun of flying. I was practicing snap rolls, they are very fast with the small foamies and hard to stop exactly on line, then I decided to practice outside snap rolls. Apparently the top wing of the biplane didn't like the stress in that particular direction. One whole side of the top wing completely broke off but just barely remained attached to the aircraft due to the carbon fiber rod that supports the wing. Had the wing come completely off I might have been able to retain some control of the aircraft but with a 4th of the wing flapping around, the aircraft came flipping to the ground like a dead duck. All of the electronics are okay and are now ready to go in my reflection so it okay. My only disappointment is not having it on film. It was pretty entertaining.

I have the e-flite 400 outrunner with a phoenix 25 speed controller and 11.1v 1320mah 3 cell lipo. This was also my second FX and they both really took a beating. It was what I learned to hover and harrier and rolling harrier and most all other 3d maneuvers I know. I know it doesn't do them as well a the profiles but it looked great in the air and it could really take a beating unlike the profiles..........it will be missed.

I tossed mine a while back. It was ok for 3D stuff but I liked the TBM monte better for a 3D foamie. I just fly my other planes like foamies if that makes any sense?
