The funtana has a problem with snaping and inducing a spin if you pull up too hard. That is part of the reason the new ones have sfg's on them. Moving the cg extremely far back helps and can sometimes eliminate the problem is the plane is light enough but for the most part that is a charactoristic of the plane.

I have a 90 size glow funtana and it does not have that problem at all. It is probably that way with the smalle relectrics though.

All of the f40's have that problem. Some people, depending on the wieght and the location of the cg, don't have problems with the 90 or the mini, but some do. It just depends. BTW-I made SFG's for my f40 and now it doesn't have that problem at all. Mine are different than the ones on the F50x though.

Can you post a pic of the F40 SFG's? I've got a Funtana 40 and just don't fly it anymore since it likes to snap here & there to make things more interesting!

Here is the thread with my sfg's. I also posted the pdf of the plans.
FuntanaS40 SFG's

Sweetpea- do you ever do a wall with the f40? That is when it really shows up. Also, sometimes it can be worked out of it if it is as light as possible and the cg is far enough back. How is yours set up? Anyways, its the majority of the but their are always exceptions.

I think i just had a revolutionary idea...SFGs for the funtana mini!!! im going to try it the first chance i get because mine has some of the same problems. Any ideas would be great...maybe 1/8 inch lite ply, remove covering from tip rib and glue sfg on?
