i would like some opinions on the best plane and setup for the best price and some pics and i would like to know if anyone is interested in selling a RTF foamie.

I like the epp micro planes as I live in the city and have limited space. Slofly.com has a micro 22 that uses a cdrom brushless motor, three micro servos a 10amp speed control and could be built for under $150.00 RTF. Also I fly it in my basement, front yard and anywhere with a 20 sq ft area.(hovering skills improved 10 fold!!!) Hope this helps. I also own a Nikitis Animal and love its flying characteristics, and you can use the same gear as the micro 22.. Oh yeh dont forget lipo batteries(480+ Thunder power prolites).Hope this helps...

thanks xtremercpilot...tons of help and just in my price range..i live in tulsa and i can jump from one house to the next and i have a very little back yard! thanks so much! my budget is 150-200 and i want to do some straight up huckin!. how is the quality on those planes?

Hi Jordan, This is my set up and it works awesome. You can buy everything from Steve @ slofly, great guy to work with. I use the gobrushless.com cdr custom single stator kit motor, I build my own but the lens rc 15turn is perfect for a 2cell 730mah Thunder power prolite. If you want to use a 3cell 730 buy the 20 turn motor. Also you will need :
Best Deal..
Micro 22 + TB9 esc = 34.99
Lens rc 15/20T GBX single motor = 39.99
3- micro servos
( I use HS-55 Hitecs) X 16.49ea. =49.47
2- 30in. x .125in (3mm) CT = 4.98
slofly tube mount,prop saver,prop = 10.00 optional
Thunder power 480-730mah =24.95-34.95 your choice I like the 730mah 2cell with 15turn.
Basic building supplies, 3/4 straping tape, epoxy, dubro micro hardware(local hobby shop),
I prefer to use hot glue for all my joints, but epoxy is fine. The hot glue joints flex with the plane when you hit stuff.
You will be @ $150.00 to 200.00 with everything. this is just a starting point you may have sources to get things cheaper.The good thing is this combo works great on any small foamie. I use the same set up for my Nikitis Animal 33" wingspan on 3cell lipo.

The key is to make it light and I am getting mine under 7oz total flying weight.
Good luck and I will try to post some videos soon. I am in the early production stages of my own design 24" foamie. Ill let you know.

is the mini 28 as agile and able to fly inside as the 22. if so is at cheap as the 22? thanks...jordan

Jordan, I like the 22 for the reason that just those few inches gives you alot more freedom when flying indoors. The 28 is a nice plane also but I usually buy the 22's when steve puts them on sale for 14.99. I think the 22 has a larger wing loading and pulls inverted harriers like no tomorrow. If you buy his combo with the ThunderBird 9esc you only pay 34.99 for both and save 10.00. Your really only paying 10.00 for the plane. Look for more of his hidden deals. Safe Landings, John.

well i tallied everything up and it was 160 dollars...you were a HUGE help...hower iwill have to wait untill i have the money...mabey a month or so but i will deffinatley be getting one of these...i put a reciever and crystal in too...ho do i hook that up...plug in the servos and what else.

I am waiting for the money for a redundant system for my 30% yak. Should be soon. Thats why I love the electrics, there at my disposal..
Just hook the ESC to the throttle channel.The three wires connect to the motor and the other two to battery.You will have to solder your connectors to it. Its self explanatory when you have it in your hands. Let me know if I can help you out with anything else.
