I have started assembly of my extra. I'm not very impressed or i should say- not impressed at all with the quality. I'll be doing thread here about it. I'm going glow because of lack of experience with 4stroke glow engines + i love the sound, and wanted something to mess around- smell of methanol, castor, etc- I like that  I have no doubt about flying characteristics of plane, but those small misses just kill me.. I'll be leaving to Lithuania this weekend, hopefully with plane packed, so i'll take some videos, and have them posted here, and also in my thread.Well, could not do that because my shipment with electronics is probobly lost. Pending...

hello guys, a question to MARK NICHOLS: i have a 91 saito and i would like to get it on my extra. have you had trouble about engine mount? i do not know if is stock mount able to carry a 91 and i think the distance between the holes in the engine box is not the same. have you had to get new holes on engine box ? the 91 saito is less heavy than o.s. and only 45 grams heavier than saito 82 and i think it will be fun to have it on this nice plane. other question : nobody knows VOTEC 351 from FLITON ? i love this little aerobatic ! it will fly with a little engine like o.s. 56@ ! ! ! ciao francesco  |
