I'v seen a build thread on this plane and it looked like a good and nice looking plane . I was wondering how this plane will fly and 3D ? How would a hacker A-20-26m outrunner motor be for this plane? Enough or not enough power? And how about putting in E-flite servos in it?This might be a stupid question but does it matter what kind of covering I use? I never covered or build a kit before. thanx

Sorry, I just saw this. More detail of this plane can be found on RCG and the ProBro site. I'm the designer, so I'll post my input, but I also understand that outside opinions are good and usually wanted. The designer's views can be viewed as not 100% objective sometimes ![]() It was designed to 3D. It has a fatter airfoil, but I find on very small planes I like a fatter airfoil. It will still fly straight and true. KE is solid. Upright and inverted harriers show very little wing rock. The full fuse make it handle winds MUCH better than the profile version ( Skeeter 30 ). Snaps are extremely fast. In fact, most rolling manuevers can turn into a blur if wanted. It will slowdown and float through them, also. I designed this plane to take foamy gear, like 6-9 gram servos and my Himax 2015 motor with a 1320 Prolite pack. Here's the latest pics of mine Q

Oh, as for covering. Ultracote LITE, Solite or Doculam. Do not use regular covering like Monokote or Ultracote. They are just too heavy. RTF weight should be 14-15oz. Q

That plane is painted with Rustoleum metalic blue. Regular gloss sticks best, and is very durable, but the metalic was just too cool. The Yellow is 2mil vinyl and the lettering is 2mil, cut at a local sign shop. Q

Let me answer it this way. If your motor can spin an 11x4.7 or 12x3.8 prop on a 1320 or smaller pack, then you have found the motor for this plane. I tried a 10" prop...no go. Not enough thrust for 3D. A 12x6 has too much torque. The 11x4.7 and 12x3.8 are the recommended props. Q

So maebe I could use my E-flite 400 inrunner brushless motor on it.?.?.?.?.? It could swing a pretty big prop. I think......

I just checked. The e-flite 400 swings a 10X4.7 - 12X6. Also 1800-2100 3 cell lipo. Do you know what gear ratio i should use? BTW: thanx for all of your quick replies.

No prob. I actually think the 400 is slightly big. It's the long can version of the 370. I would go with the 370...Oh, wait...you talking outrunner or gearbox? They come as both. If gearbox, the 370 in a 6.6:1 ratio and a 12x3.8 prop. If Outrunnner, then I'm not sure. I mainly run gearboxes. The 400 probably. Tell you what, hop over to the ProBro or RCGroups and find the Phnat Boy threads and ask for outrunner help if that's the motor you want to run. Me, I recommend the Himax 2015-4100 in the 6.6:1 gearbox and those props above. I swear you will be happy with the performance. Q
