Help! Hitec Servos

http://www.hobby-lobby.com/yak54suitcase.htm
I am planning to buy the above aeroplane! It has the extra things that it needs to fly . It gives HTS055 Hitec HS-55 Sub Micro Servos . Do you know if they are compatible with futaba receivers?

Yes, they're compatible. You can pretty much use any servo with any receiver.

I just got that plane in yesterday. Nice kit, make sure that you go over the covering around the edges of the cut outs with an iron to make sure they are sealed. It took me about 2 hours to fully assemble and install all gear. I was taking my time and doing some computer work during the assembly.

As for the HS 55 servos. I have never had a problem with then working with any receiver I have used. I have used Hi-tec, Futaba, GWS, Spektrum, Berg, and Great Planes receivers with no issues.

I haven't had a chance to fly it yet, but my Hacker A20-22L will hold it at hover just under 1/2 throttle. I have an all up weight of 16.5 oz.

I'm sure that the motor they give as an option will be great. I just used the Hacker because that is what I had. This Yak is about the same size and weight as the foamies that I had used the Hacker on before. I'm hoping to be able to maiden it tomorrow.

Help! Re: Hitec Servos

I was just given a Fliton Icon 312. It's stuffed with the full compliment of gear: H-55s. Hitech Rx, ThunderPower 3C 2100mh, motor/ESC not yet known. I plan on making this my stepping stone into 3D and toward giant scale.

My question: I would prefer to use a Spektrum AR600 Rx. The H-55s have micro connectors. Is is possible to/is it advisable not to/how difficult is it to swap the micros with full-size Futaba connectors. Anything to pay close attention to? Any gatchas?

I'm probably over-complicating this simple procedure in my mind. Just looking for any advice or encouragement from you Giants.

Thanks!
