Default Which ESC/Battery?

Hey guys,
I am looking at building a 5 oz airframe with the battery and I was wondering what size ESC I should get for it. I will use either the E-Flite Park 250 or Cyclon 1980 Nano CPLR or similar motor. It will run on 2 cells probably 480 mah or less. So what size ESC and what brand (no brand wars plz) and what battery size?

Thanks for all of your guys' help!!!!

A 10 Amp ESC is LOTS, and any 2S 350-450 Lipo!!! Most popular (and lightest I think)ESC I would say would be the CC Phx 10. I use a AXI2204/54, 8x3.8 SF, Phx 10 and 2S 350 Prolites on a 5 ounce Bling, and never get above 1/2 throttle. I kinda wish I had the Eflite 250, would save 10 grams, and get my Bling below 5.0 ounes. Someday I'll upgrade to one of the new 15-18 g motors that are coming out on the market.

on my 5oz Yak Shocky I have the Park 250 with a CC Phx10 and Polyquest 400 and 300 mAh 2 cell packs... I get about 6 min with the 300 and about 9 min with the 400 pack

Cheers
Curtis

Hey thanks guys!
Would an 8 amp ESC be to little? Or even a 4-6 amp? I want to save as much weight as possible so a smaller ESC would help lots (grams add up!!).

Thanks for all of the help guys!!

An 8 amp esc would be fine, but in the world of ESC's, your better off having too much than not enough. Besides, you won't get much lighter than a Phx 10 Amp Esc anyway, so just get this one and you'll be happy with it. It is VERY light and a great ESC.
