Default Fliton Inspire 60 setup?

Picked up a Fliton Inspire 60 a while ago and I was gonna go with a 4 stroke setup but i've been thinking about going electric. I guess my question would be what would be a good motor for this bird? I'm thinking either the E-Flite Power 60 but i have had great luck with my AXI's in the past and i'd like to go with a AXI (although they are more $$). I was thinking the AXi4130/16 on a 6 Cell lipo. Does anybody have any experience with this application? I'd like to keep it at or under 6lbs if possible. Thanks.

Ramz,
The Axi 4130/16 is actually the most popular choice of motor for the Inspire. With the Axi and TP 4200 6s2p prolites you should be really close to 6lbs. Swinging an APC 17-8E prop will get you 1200-1300 watts and will hover the plane at 1/2 throttle with great pull out

That would give you a good place to start. There are a whole host of light weight options out there, but for a bulletproof power system, give the Axi a shot (especially if you have the batts for it already).

I know nothing about electric.
But mine with a YS 63 is 5lbs 13oz and is stupid on power.
BUT the gears sucks. Mine delaminated in two flights. It may be an isolated case but keep an eye out.
The plane flies very well.

My gear survived through pancakes and all. If you've got issues, email Edson at edson@fliton.com. He'll make it right for you

Looks like it's gonna be the AXI 4310/16, Phoenix 60 ESC and some 6 cell 4200 Thunder Power batts. Anybody know of some good 6 volt BEC's?

Here's a good one. I've been running 3 of these and never had a problem, even after some serious crashes they keep working. http://www.atlantahobby.com/shopexd.asp?id=5290

you might want to try a Hacker A50-S on 6s flightpower Evo cells. They are incredibly powerful and efficient, ive seen one go on a inspire, impressive wasn't the word!

Your AXI choice is ideal. I have the E-flite 60 outrunner in mine, along with 6S maxamps 4000's and the power is plenty, but not wicked by any means. I would probably do the Hacker a50 to do it again, and maybe consider one of the over-priced lipos. However, the maxamps are only $169 and holds about 21.5 volts under load, so I don't think they are weak...

Can't wait til start putting the Inspire together. I'm waiting for the BEC, ESC and batts. Other than that, i've got everything i need. I'm moving to a new place so time is somewhat limited, but as soon as i get all the components i'm gonna put it together. Any interest here for a build thread? I would be willing to do it up if anyboyd would like to see it.
