Help! Triton Charger Peaks To Early??????

I'm having some trouble with my great planes triton charger. When I hook up my batteries to charge them it will only put 20-100mAh into the pack. The pack is a brand new 6V NiMH 2300mAh sanyo pack. I have also tried charging my RC car battery which is 6 cell (7.2) NiMH 3000mAh pack and it only takes between 200-1000mAh before peaking. I use the battery memory function and program all the battery details into it and I follow the supplied chart for charge rates. Am I doing something wrong? or is the charger busted? Please help....

Try using a 5mV per cell peak sensitivity for your NiMH pack.

I ran into the same problem with mine, I found that setting the charger to charge at lower settings took care of the problem. Ie, setting the pack to charge at .2 up to .5amps. At these settings, I dont run into the false peaks.

Thanks guys, I went though all the program setting and found that the threashold, max capacity, and max battery temp were way of what they should be. It seems to be working now with the new settings Thanks agian for your input guys.....

You should have some flowcharts that came with the charger. This shows you how to do it.

Ah, thanks guys. I'll check my charger tonight cause i had a problem when trying to charge my 2500mah 6 cell receiver pack. It kept cutting out at 2000mah. To get around it i was charging using the Nicd setting, but now this makes more sence as to what was going on.
