Help! shocky power

Just went ahead and ordered the 3 pack Shocky along with the yak and need help deciding what motor to go with it. I really know very little about all this electric stuff.

So would the 2204/54 AXI be suitable and if so what type of speed controller along with the type of batteries and prop required.

I don't understand when you would use a 3s VS a 2s.....What kind of flying times are we looking at here ?

I will also be buying another motor for a plane that I got that says you need a 20 size motor ( AXI 2208/36...would that work ) and again what setup and what prop ?

I need your help guys ASAP so I can get the order out.

Thanks in advance

Moose,
I'm using an E-Flight 370 outrunner it's the 1360Kv motor. I'm using Kokam 3cell 730Mah packs. This will give it loads of power.

Ok,
3 cell, will give you mor power and acceleration, but a little shorter run time than 2 cell. 2cell, will give you a much longer run time but not as powerfull, and wont accelerate as fast. If you are going to fly outdoors i would go with a Tanic Taps 3 cell 830 mah. If your going to fly indoors you want to go with a 2 cell 830-1050mah. For the motor selections on shocky's i would go with a Hacker a20-34s, with a 8X3.8 prop.
Yes an axi 2204-54 would be a good motor but i still would recomend to get the Hacker a20-34s with a Tanic Taps 3 cell 830 mah.

Tony

Oh yea and flying time with a 3 cell 830 gives me anywere from 12 to 14 min depending on flying type.
2 cell would give you about 15-16 min depending on your flying type.

Thanks guys,

Tony I took a look at the a2034 but can't seem to find it...they only go as high as 31s but those prices are very steep !! If you think the AXI will do the trick and at nearly half the price then I think thats the path I must take.

I will mostly be flying indoors so I can have bad A$$ pics like yours !!! Very nice flying man.

Where is the best place to buy ...I need a one place shop and ship as I am placing the orders from Dubai and want to minimize on shipping costs.

What speed controller would you recommend ?

my set up for out door flying is an AXI 2208/34, tanic taps 11.1v 830mah, HS-55, dreamfly 12A and Jeti 5REX receiver.

the pull out of a hover fast and instant. it will get you to a high altitude in no time.

Castel Creations Pheonix 10 with the 2204/54 motor. I use custom built CD rom motors and have great results check them out. Anything built up to 8.5 oz AUW you can use the single 15 turn GBX with a three cell with unlimited power.

The question is Hacker OR AXI motor.......and Castle Creation or Hacker speed control ????

The Hacker requires a 8x3.8 prop but all I can find are the APC 8x4 ...will they do ?

I'm going to go with the 2S 1320mA thunder power Whata ya think...??

I need inputs guys !!
