Default castle creations phonix 10 amp help?

I just bought a phonix 10 amp esc to put in my shock flyer with a hacker a20-34s. I soldered all the wires, connected the motor to esc/reciver/battery, and tested the motor and esc. For some reason the esc made a "beep" noise like usuall when you plug in a ESC, but when i gave it throttle, the motor didnt respond. motor didnt work. what do i need to do? Program the ESC?
thanx

which TX...? if it is Futaba, you need to reverse the throttle channel for electrics...

also... check and make sure your throttle end points are at max.....

Do this... without a prop... or with, but be very careful, when it does it's beep, go to full power... I bet full power is off and idle on the stick is wide open... as suggested, I have NEVER had a CC speed controller that didnt need me to reverse it in the tx.

It sounds like the esc isnt arming because your radio isnt at zero throttle.

Set 100% ATV on throttle LOW, and make sure that low throttlestick is LOW throttle stick. ie REVERSING!!!
And make sure that your trim is in the middle or at full fwd trim. Sometimes the PHX ESC's will not arm if your throttle is too low. Didn't know that there was such a thing.....

I'm an IDOT! sorry for taking you guys' time.... I was using a GWS reciver, and there is no marking for the throttle plug location, and so i pluged it in the wrong slot of the reciver! im sorry guys. Also i tried to go to programing mode because once i connected the esc to the reciver the correct way, the motor would work only till 1/4 throttle stick. So when i whent to the programing mode and plug in the battery, the motor doesnt work at all and all it does is very very fast beep sounds. So now what did i do wrong?
thanx

Tony,

I can 99% guarantee you that if you program your controller with the following settings it will work:

* Cut off Voltage - Auto Lipo
* Brake - Disabled
* Soft Start - Fast
* Cutoff Type - Soft Cutoff

Hopefully it does!!!
