so one of the esteemed pattern guys is letting me fly his 3000 plane and i accidentaly fly a little close to the runway(i was still, however, not over it). after the flight i get 3 guys coming up telling me that if it happens again i wont be flying there anymore ok, my mistake not 15 minutes later, i catch one of the three hovering not only over the runway, but about 6 feet from himself i waited till he landed and walked up to him and i told him you can tell me to get off the runway when you stop bieng such a hippocrite he walks away and i turn to go grab a new set of batteries and when i look back at him i see him talking about me with his little buddies (hes doing that thing when he talks to them and then glances at me every couple seconds) i yelled as loud as i could you got a problem say it to my face! he walks over to me and tells me he has much more skill than me and more experience so he has the privledge of doing it ****(pattern guy) hears this and snickers behind my back and the guy says o so now you have a problem? and **** turns around and says yeah this kid didnt do anything wrong. and you have no right to tell him you have more skill than he does because you dont. ****(aka. a-hole) starts getting in ***** face(or chest because **** is about a foot shorter than ****) and poking him ****flipped and hit **** right in the jaw needless to say **** came back about an hour later and apologized to us im not saying violence is the answer, but im glad **** learned not to talk down to people in a rude way and if thats what it trakes then so be it

I agree, Unfortunatly our stick in the mud is our club treasurer. I joined my club three years ago and am directly responsible for the growth of the club. When I started there 23 members belonged. Now we are up to 68. Yet everytime an officer election comes out this nugget finds a way to stay in office. My friends, and myself have given this guy so much flak for being a two faced person, I would swear any one would want to step down from their position, and let a proactive member that wants to see this great hobby grow, and make changes in the club. Instead it's like he is fighting to stay in office. Calling on club members that never fly at our field, ( all much older) to show up and vote for him. At our club we have the same problem, most of the guys that fly there on a regular basis get along great, young and old. But when this guy is the cancer of our club. Does any one have any advice for me?

IMO- Never burn that bridge. You may never know how your patient and tolerant actions may return back to you. I believe there is a possibility an a-hole just may be the one to save my life one day- because he was the only one around or best positioned to help (or speak up) in some unknown situation - and because I never flipped the SOB off. Personally I'd be amiable, yet distant to this guy. Tough to not share your true intolerance for the a-hole with others fliers, but by doing so - (IMO) really only makes your character and motives suspect. Let the man do that dirty work for you all on his own. If he's that bad- you won't have long to wait for the same consensus to manifest -and you didn't have to say a thing. One day the numbers will be in your favor and the depth of your character will shine for not bad mouthing such an easy target. Hey- Keep up the good work increasing those members! | ||||||||||||||||||

It simple guys. The members who complain the most at any field either can't fly worth a S@#T or they are hanger queens just watching. Also anyone who blames a crash on a dead stick needs to get back to the basics. At any point of your flight witch is flown in a pattern you should be able to make a reasonable approach to the field unless you are the one hovering and that sucks. The last time I had an Old fart come out to the flight line to ask me to change my flying habbits as I did a harrier down the runway with nobody else in the air I explained to him that after I landed if he was in eye shot of me he better run. He never opened his mouth again. 3D should be performed with the understanding of other pilots in the air that you are on the runway. If someone else wants to do touch and goes and approaches you as the 3D pilot should have the commen since and good nature to take it up high or practice your menuvers in the pattern. Simple communication goes a long way. But that will never happen because *******s stay *******s till you threaten to widen there ******* with a very big object like a reversed pineapple. Good luck with all the AHOLES out there.

Beleive it or not when it came to joining in the early days. I was easily offered a membership but the other guys that I had flown with werent' allowed in. So I held off on the membership until everyone else. And they won't allow one person in for some reason.

For those of us who have flown a Prado or still fly there we have a couple of FOG'S that think they control the field. One of them barely ever fly’s anymore (******&**). It sickens me when I go out to have a good day of flying and there’s always one or two people that spoil it for the rest of us. ****** was also responsible for posting no flying above 400' maximum sings in front of every pilot area. He informed me that people that don’t follow the rules will have there club card taken off the frequency board and given to club officials and we will have to talk to the Pvmac board the get out club card back. He made sure to tell me since I was putting the wings on my Comp Arf Yak. When I’m out there on the weekend these FOG’S never say anything. He also had the nerve to ask me if I had seen these new signs. How can I miss them? The signs are huge!I’m so sick of the California attitude!

Oh the stories we can all tell. . . I fly on Thursday-Friday, since that is my day off. . I LIKE to fly on those days, because the people who usually fly on the weekends are a real trial of patience. The internal club politics is so silly and intense, it's worse than Congress. We even had a child-molestor for a VP for over a year because his "Buddies" didn't want to vote him out of office after he was arrested. It was too politically sensitive etc etc etc. Now he is behind bars. . pulling hard time, which is fitting IMO. Thursdays is "Cleanup day" since I clean up all the mess left over from the Yahoos on the weekend. We recently passed a "no ground fire" measure, because of the abuse of this and how horrible the place looked due to all the burnt wood and ashes and mess left over. This week, guess what? Not only a Huge mess from another fire, but several broken Club chairs and garbage all over the place. (see pics) I wonder if people do this at their homes . I'm sure they do. And lastly .. .at last years IMAC event I came about 1 second away from throwing a couple of my club members off the field during the Meet, simply because of their smart mouths, bad attitudes, and rude behaviour concerning my "Guests". This year they will be invited to not show up, and if they do they will be asked to leave before they get out of their cars. RC is supposed to be fun, right? Why do people have to be so mean spiritied, ignorant, rude and hateful about a hobby? It boggles the mind.
