[quote=KrisW;215565]The "50-50" rule is there because a LOT of RC-ers can NOT fly well, Jaybird. I'd rather have the rule in place, to PROTECT me from the SOG's at the field, who can't fly, much less land on the runway.

I guess that's true Kris, At a fly in not long ago the thing that made me nervous was a 25 size mustang ripping around up and down the flightline doing low figure 8's and stuff. I dont even get concerned when someone is torking a big un' right in front of them. The ones doing that have the skills

I was flying last friday an a friend of mine stacked his skymaster hawk. 40lb of bird taking off and at 50ft realised the elevator had failed so ditched it and completely wrote it off. £7000 down the pan. Lucky for the club no-one was hurt and nothing was damaged, The takeoff was towards and over a police helicopter and a hanger with a spitfire and mustang inside. Concorde is parked 300 meters across the runway and he amazingly missed all. After finding his shattered model he was helping out a few beginners flying their models for them. That guy has some broad shoulders. If it had been my crash id probally of thrown all my toys outa the pram n gone home in a serious strop? We all felt for his loss, it was a eye-opener to see such humility. Respect to Big Lex.

Hey Lee, have you ever heard of Larry the cable guy? If so, imagine his voice saying "can you say that in English?"

ok, my mistake
not 15 minutes later, i catch one of the three hovering not only over the runway, but about 6 feet from himself
i waited till he landed and walked up to him and i told him
you can tell me to get off the runway when you stop bieng such a hippocrite
he walks away and i turn to go grab a new set of batteries and when i look back at him i see him talking about me with his little buddies
(hes doing that thing when he talks to them and then glances at me every couple seconds)
i yelled as loud as i could
you got a problem say it to my face!
he walks over to me and tells me he has much more skill than me and more experience so he has the privledge of doing it
****(pattern guy) hears this and snickers behind my back
and the guy says o so now you have a problem?
and **** turns around and says yeah this kid didnt do anything wrong. and you have no right to tell him you have more skill than he does because you dont.
****(aka. a-hole) starts getting in ***** face(or chest because **** is about a foot shorter than ****) and poking him
****flipped and hit **** right in the jaw
needless to say **** came back about an hour later and apologized to us
im not saying violence is the answer, but im glad **** learned not to talk down to people in a rude way
and if thats what it trakes then so be it

What I would TRY to do...My opinion...and I am getting better at it..
It is accepting the persons and do not let them bother you. Even if you are in the right. As hard as it is just keep the ole mouth closed and let it go. I have found that it will usually take care of itself when I do that. I have and are still learning to tune that kind of negativity out. I am there for myself and to have a good time. I am there to fellowship also. I am sure there are many others that feel the same way you do. When you get someone saying they have more experience than you to justify a wrong doing...Get as far away from that person as you can get. The more people that it happens to and the more the guy does this kind of behavior the more people will stay away from him THEN maybe if the guy can swallow his false pride maybe he will go home and think about it or one of his close buds will call him on it and he will learn something and change especially when people start to avoid talking and fellowshipping with him!

I hate to hear that for you.
Man I would hate to see that happen at my field. It can get a little dysfunctional but not to the point to where there is tissue being broken. Scary for sure dude.

Good luck.

Thanks for the interpretation . I love to listen to English people talk and I laugh when I can't understand what they are saying considering I was taught some English in grade school. You would love it here, when you call a business the first thing the phone system says is "for English press 1".

A certain field in CHINO, CA is the last place anybody can enjoy flying 3D! Too many CHIEFS and not enough INDIANS. I know quite a few people posting on this topic can back me up......LOL I'm still upset about my previous incident on Monday. See previous post. To bad we don't have more acceptable fields to fly at in SOCAL.

I'm trying to win the lottery so I can purchase a piece of land for us 3Ders but its just not working?

I hear the thing about Cg. Who ever built the field made one big mistake and I almsot ended up in a big leagal situation about 2 years ago for CG. And take alook at my age. I was teaching a friend how to fly with a plane that he had bought. I only fixed the elevator. First thing that happend when I hit power the plane went straight up. I had no aileron control. Servo wasn't responding. So only rudder. So about the almost leagal situation. There was a real piper cub flying over the lake so as I was coming in the plane was right in my path. So when I used rudder it did 2 knifeedge like circles around the fuse of that cub. I nearly just died on the spot. I had everyone at the field on their toes. So I was able to land the plane in a tree after overshooting the runway. Only damage was a hole in the side of the fuse. I didn't know what to say after that. I tell you what, I check the Cg about everyflight now even if I don't make any changes.

Well, Once again I'm here posting more problems at are famous field - PRADO. They changed one of the rules at Tuesdays meeting AGAIN. First there were no park flyers to be flown where general aircraft fly. There was a special place for them to fly behind the pits in a dirt area. Then the rule was changed to allow them to fly where general aircraft fly if the had landing gear. Now all the park flyers are to be flown in the dirt area again. This is just ridicules. And of course the field Nazis will enforce the rules since they are retired FOG'S that don't even fly anymore but have no lives or friends so they hand out at the field.

I'm getting a headache just writing all these problems lately.

Yeeessshhhh....

Listening to these stories makes the little issues with our club seem meaningless. There's of course a few card carry'in spectators, who come out to grumble, never fly. But for the most part we all have a good time and get along.

After reading this I'm gonna head out to the field and pass out some kisses on wrinkly cheeks. (that's face cheeks smart a**)
