Default feild of dreams

As some of you in Calif may have herd that there is a new feild going in. Well its all true. This feild is owned by the victor valley rc flyers. I think i can speak on behaf of all of us at VVRC in saying that our dreams are comming true. Sence the club began in 2002 we had allways wanted a feild to call our own. now that we have the land to do it we will do it. On sat 4-21-07 we broke ground on the site as well as did a little flyin. All I have to say is that this is going to be the best feild in so cal and we owe it all in part to everyone who helped to make this dream a reality. Below is the drawing that is basically set in stone. All that has changed is few mesurments. This project isnt going to be cheep so any fundrasing or deals will help. When its all said and done the total cost should be about 100 grand. (most of that is the 800 FT runway).

I am having trouble getting anyone in our local clubs to get real and fork up some change to build a nice field. Everyone thinks a field should just be free somehow, a patch of dirt with nothing else.

So my question is, how do you guys raise the money to do this beautiful field?

Can giant scale (35 - 40%) fly at your club? I'm here in Orange County and we have a problem with giant scale. The fields we fly at are dirt fields. The one sweet paved runway is membered by a bunch of old guys who don't want to share there club with jets or giant scale and our a constant headache.

Usually you get a couple of rich guys to put up most of the money to build the field and make them life time club members.

Good Luck and keep us posted
