Who's going to Gilbertsville this weekend?

Hey Guys,
Just looking to see who is going to the Leatherstocking R/C Buzzards annual Hospice Fundraiser event in Gilbertsville, NY this weekend? With a runway 125 feet wide by 825 feet long its a fantastic place to fly and just hang out with old friends and hopefully make some new ones.
This year's event is a Giant-scale fly-in open to all AMA members in the hopes of introducing these members to the IMAA.
Hope to see everyone this weekend for whats sure to be a great event.

Well it has been raining here all day but the weather cast for the next three days is clear and sunny.

I will be there on Saturday!! Really looking forward to seeing the 50% that snapasaurus is bringing. Hope he is still planning on attending. Should be a great turnout for the weekend,The weather looks great for sat and sunday.

Snapasaurus will be there, a bunch of FG members will be in attendance also, leaving in a couple hours, should be at the field early Saturday morning, see you guys.

Well Mother Nature fought us all day but that did not stop almost 30 pilots from registering and putting on a spectacular display for those spectators who braved the elements. With several FG members already registered and several more expected tomorrow it looks to be a fantastic weekend of flying. If you are within a few hours of Gilbertsville, NY you definetly do not want to miss this Catskill Area Hospice Fundraiser.

If you are coming North on NYS RT 8 make a right hand turn onto Rt 51,Turn Right at the Majors Inn, then bear left at the cannon. The zip code for Gilbertsville is 13776. I do not have GPS so not sure what else I can give you to help out. Its right across from Gilbertsville Oil at the Polo Fields. See you on the flight line.

Well we had a gorgeous day on Saturday and Sunday. With over 54 pilots registered to fly everyone had a great time. Best of all, alot of money was raised for Catskill Area Hospice. Snap a Saurus and Steve Schwan put on an awesome noon time demonstration followed by WWI and WWII warbirds. With food, vendors and awesome pilots this year, next year is looking to be bigger and better already.

What a great group of guys and what event, met a bunch of FG members, Al put on one of the best events in the Northeast, glad I made it and I will be there next year, special thanks to RobC and Steve, they know why.

Airshow 2007 is done and it was a great success . In snap's post he said I put on a great show . I have to disagree, I only supplied the opportunity,I feel it was him and all our flying buddies, the Leatherstocking Buzzards ( without whose help I could do nothing ) and everyone else who assisted made Airshow 2007 one of the premier fly-ins in the Northeast . But that's over and you all have to wait and see what's in store for 2008 . Many thanks to all , Al
