Thanks Guys,

The city has been working with the club and it promises to be a nice place as long as we keep the public involved. They have even promised to pave the runway for the club, probably in 07' once everything is situated where its going to be. I can't wait!

OK just a update, went by the "field" last night....and........WE HAVE A GO!. Sorry, LOL it's been a long hard road getting the city to finaly put the stakes in the ground, but they are there now. Looks like we will start working the ground this Thursday (4/20/06), if anyone wants to come by and help.......No taker huh?!?!?! J/K
All joking aside, the area is a cornfield that has not been tilled under yet, any and all help on the best way to prep/construct the runway would be great.

Hey all! Thanks for the great words of encouragement! I am one of the club officers (Safety Officer), and one of the founding members. I have tons of pics, some video here and there etc. etc. If I don't get time to get them posted, I will get them to PlanePlanter or Seth to get on here. We hope to be open in about 3 weeks. We are looking to have a "Meet & Greet" at the local Wal-Mart (to get in the public eye), and maybe have a Free Fly/Airshow Memorial Day weekend. We will be discussing all this at the next meeting this coming Saturday at 1:00pm if anyone in the area is interested in stopping in. email jyahn@yahoo.com for more info.

Take care guys, and many, many MANY thanks for the compliments, words of encouragement and interest. I hope many of you make it out to our "Home Away From Home" sometime in the near future.
