Dale, best way is to come down 417, then exit to Narcoosee rd heading north (turn left). You will go past a commercial construction sight, as the road curves to the left, slow down and get ready to turn rt into dirt driveway. there is no sign, but I will have balloons on the gate. Gate will be closed and "dummy locked" chain and lock "unlocked". Please close gate behind you, but leave "dummy locked".

Hey Guys,
Happy Fourth of July. We just got back from the flying field, where we maidened the 42% Extra 260. The first flight went real good. It took two clicks of right trim, and she was flying straight as an arrow. Justin put about 10 minutes of flying on it just doing some easy aerobatics and high hovering. ( You know that was killing him).
A couple of minutes into the second flight, he was pulling a 45 upline and the engine quit. Yep, the big DA150 went dead, and he was about 75 feet up and at the left end of the runway. Not good. He couldn't do a circle and kill off altitude, so he dropped the nose, went down the runway, and landed in the hay field about 100 yards long. Oh . Well, he did a great job, and there was absolutely no damage to the plane. Lucky, Lucky.
The problem turned out to be the capacitor on the voltage regulator on ignition. It came unsoldered. Anybody ever had that happen? Now, should I replace the regulator, put a miracle switch on it, or just put a good old fashioned NiCd on it?
What do ya'll think?
I'll try to put up some video later.
Mark
