Yeah Donnie,
That one is NOT going back in the plane. What do you think of my three options?

Hey guys.....every want to know how VooDoo does that awesome routine.....Well I caught him practicing on the IMAA legal Giant Scale Sig Kadet today. Notice the style as he flys the big bird in the knife edge and inverted!! Standard throws and servos!

Thanks to all of you guys for helping me get in the air......especially you VooDoo for getting the Saito 72 purring like a sewing machine.
I wish I could make the trip to Orlando with you guys tomorrow but it looks like I need to stick around here and hang with the family until the race gets started.
Hope you guys have a blast and hope to see some of you guys Sunday.

Way to go Justin. Mark I would just use a good ole' NIMH battery. The engine being an important part of the plane. No regulator = less things that can go wrong.

I was leaning towards a good old fashioned NiCd or NiMH even before the regulator went out. I'm kind of old school, and usually go by the KISS method.

I use NiMh batteries on both REC and IGN.
Dual 1950ma 6.0v batteries on REC thru a Fromeco Wolverine switch and single 1950ma 4.8v battery on IGN thru a Fromeco Badger switch.
Very simple and reliable setup and the Wolverine switch on the REC batts takes care of battery sharing thru its own circuitry and works great!
No regulators, no power expanders, no battery sharing devices, etc.
KISS
