Compact the living sh!t out of the crush and it will last for years. Like I said get the biggest most bad ass compactor/roller you guys can afford to rent and water the ground while compacting. Most machinery rental companies rent by the day so give her sh!t. It is always cheaper to bring out your own diesel than to pay the rental companies surcharge. Run the compacting machine over the existing base a few times before laying down the road crush.

That is sure one decent place to fly. Jet guys will have a ball with that as well.

Just happen to have a Turbine BVM F-86 to try out on the new surface, the club I belong to near there is 400ft, little short for a test hop, especially with me driving!!! Will be joining it soon if they will have me

Don't know how it got quoted wrong, but the actual length as stated earlier is 500 ft. Still we are VERY happy with this and think it will work excellently. New members are welcome! Do you have to have a special AMA clearance to fly jets?

500 will do nicely!!! The Pilot has to have a turbine waiver from the AMA, not a problem. Nampa @ 400' is a little small for the Jet. When do you think it will be finished? I flew out there several years ago

Talked to the contractor this morning. They are trying to work us in between other jobs. Potentially could be done by the middle of June.
