Hi I'm a newbie heli pilot & just recently got hooked up with these guys. The field is 600 feet above sea level & overlooks Davao City & the Davao gulf. It is a private field, but flyers can come fly anytime without paying a cent, this includes free snacks.  Present day... I finally get to meet some of the "veteran" movers of Davao RC. It was a good day spent flying. Site location: Magtuod Hilltop, Davao City (overlooking) Pilots: Mang Vic (glider, F-18 & SU-27) Mang Tony (Phase 3 E-bipe) Mang Bel(moral support ;D) Sir Romy(pasyal-pasyal) Sir Erwin (Raptor Titan) Sir Jojo ( F-15E, Hirobo Shuttle) Sir Roland/zerodivide (Sceadu 50, Raptor 30) Hansolo (*I got no video flying, I switched it to still/picture mode just before giving the camera to zerodivide. I did my first nose in landing in front of everyone. I was happy then, I'm still happy now.) First flight. Sir Jojo with his scratch built F15E Strike Eagle   Mang Vel, Mang Tony & zerodivide  First tank, zerodivide with Raptor 30  Raptor 30 & a clear view of the backdrop.  Sir Erwin flight prep Raptor Titan  Raptor Titan   Another view of the city & the Davao Gulf  Sceadu 50 flight prep. Sir Jojo & zerodivide.  Sir Erwin lending his starter's assistance  Zerodivide spotting for Sir Jojo(partly hidden) piloting his Hirobo Shuttle  Mang Tony's Electric bipe. Sir Romy pointing out the finer points of the new WING450 canopy  Mang Tony having fun  First crash for the day   Mang Vic & Sir Romy w/ Mang Vic's SU-27  Boys will be boys  2nd crash of the day  Mang Vic & his electric glider  Many thanks to Mang Vic. Formosa 2  [color=blue][b] Busy still  Kuya Willy putting the thrust bearings/spring upgrade in the main shaft. I don't feel any difference in handling, but it must be good for something.  Gibby, Kuya Willy, Mang Vic, Noel & Mang Joseph. This was a pre-birthday get together at Mang Vic's flying field.  Another shot with the celebrant. Happy Birthday nong Vic!  All the while may Russian Raptor pala na nakatago lang, hindi lumipad.  That's all for now. ;D |

Wow mga kababayan! Thanks RappyMan, I just got into the hobby & it's just nice that I get to hang out with the local group. Glad you liked the spot landing.  Yup AirborneSGT, I'm just grinning like crazy & can't seem to stop smiling when I go flying. How can I not when I'm having so much fun. Mabuhay tayong lahat mndbndr3d! I hope we are not the only ones here. If by any remote chance anyone could visit, I'l gladly be your humble guide. I mean it. |
