Default S.A.M. Sanford Aeromodelers

This will be the official thread here on FG for the Sanford Aeromodelers. http://www.sanfordaeromodelers.com/

Our club is located at 2745 W State Road 46 Geneva, FL 32732

28.76733441° N, 81.15384825° W (28° 46' 2.4039" N, 81° 9' 13.85376999" W)

The Sanford Aero Modelers was founded and chartered with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) in 1978 by a small group of individuals interested in promoting Radio Control Model Airplanes in the Sanford area. Over the years, the club has grown to its current membership of over 136 members who have a variety of backgrounds, interests, and levels of modeling & flying experience. The main focus of our club is to promote safe model flying in a non-competitive atmosphere. In other words, we are in it for the pure joy that model building and flying can and does provide. Coupled with the fellowship of being with like-minded individuals, the bottom line is to have fun.

The above is an excerpt from the Official SAM website.

So chime in and share stories and pictures from your day at the field !

Jim

Jim this was a great idea. It's a good thing to see SAM represented on FG. Now everyone will see what a great facility and awesome people we have the priviledge of flying with.

I stoped by the field this morning and had a great time even without a plane. There was a lot of flying going on and a few new birds to see when you come back out to fly. I hope that will be soon!

I hope it is soon too !
I was going CRAZY Sunday, everytime I went outdoors, I couldn't believe how nice it was out.
Did y'all go to Aunt Catfish ?
If not, we are gonna try to make it again next Sunday.

No there was no catfish for lunch. We were waiting on you and Sandy. The guys ended up at Tony's in Lk. M. for wings and debriefing.

C.J. worked a little with me on my IMAC lines and boy do I need prctice. I'm so rusty I couldn't keep the wings level if my life depended on it. The only good thing is I ran another gallon and a half of break in fuel through the DL100 in the new 102" QQ Yak. I still can't get over how good that DL runs.

We'll try for catfish again this weekend.
