The Club has overwhelmingly voted to remain with the AMA, and knows the AMA's position on the behavior issues. It is logical to conclude that they are willing to accept AMA's requirements. Let the higher authority deal with it, and focus on putting the Club on a good footing going forward.

I used to think the AMA was a waste of money. This will be the first year I will enjoy writing the check for membership. They finally showed some stones when confronted by blatant unfair club manipulation and open displays of racism. The club got told what to do and tossed the main offender under the bus but when it came time to man up and fall on their own swords they called the AMA's directive TOILET PAPER!
Andy has a lot of patients but this has got to be grating on his last nerve!
These psychopaths have no shame!

Also, who wants to trust this gang with the election ballots?

The secretary has the chutzpa after 9 consecutive newsletter total failures and an AMA directive to step down or be forced out to RUN FOR VICE PRESIDENT! NO SHAME! NO GUILT! ARE YOU EVEN HUMAN?!?

Rudestar,

The membership made the decision to respond to the AMA, which the AMA asked for. It is not in the hands of the membership to remove an elected board because that would be counterproductive in moving forward at this time. I believe that depends on what kind of explanation is sent to the AMA. The AMA has a panel that decides the validity of such cases and takes action based on recommendations from them. If the response is well thought out they will find a favorable response from the AMA. If it shows any kind of absolving them of the responsibility it may not come back in their favor. That is the crux of leadership. My best wishes to the current board and I hope they will dig themselves out. If they look at as AMA verses them or look at passing blame to just the mower-man or anyone else then in my view that would be a mistake. Hope it all works out we just want to have a fun club, welcoming, open with a level playing field for all.

A fight pursued and he kicked the guy down thirteen stairs. Then the guy was arrested by the police. He also said that he now needs a knee replacement and that he is in his early thirties; too young to need a knee replacement. That’s all we know so far. He appeared to be in great pain while he hobbled around the front table to address the members.
All i can say is WOW! Really?.....this really happened? Or possibly is this guy that supposivley got attacked just looking for a way to slam on FG or GS flyers in general? was there actual police report....because if there was....it would be public. I'd be curious to see if this so called "attacking" actually happened.

On another note....I am so happy to hear that the club is back on track and moving forward! I had been following Chanes original thread from day #1 , and have always checked in on the progress.

All i can say now is WHEEEEW! Thank god this is finally over! Or at least it's on it's way anyways. Also....it sounds like a couple of the real "bad apples" of the previous officers club are now gone.

For the other guys who were against it , or at least "on the fence" about the GS guys.....wait , they will prove to you that GS flyer are some of the best people around. Usually when someone makes it that far up on the RC flying experience , it's a great thing for everyone to have their help at the field. Just give them a chance and i bet you guys will be surprised.

I'm glad everyone has decided to get along , it's only going to get extremely fun from here guys.....and i mean fun for everyone!

Not being negative here but trying to get some answers, I have a question, can anyone help with this, the president claims that he was attacked, I have searched for police reports and news articles and found none, could it be an incident that has nothing to do with SSRCC and he is using it to gain sympathy and look like a hero?
From what Rudestar is saying, the club president called the AMA documents TOILET PAPER.

My take on the response to the AMA by this clubs leadership will be a GIANT RAISED FIST WITH AN EXTENDED MIDDLE FINGER tearing through 17 pages of chit paper.

The thundering sound you hear are the hoards of lawyers running in to save us from our selves.

Buy two years AMA this fall to beat next years dues increase cause were about to buy a fleet of BMW's, and give a butcher a solid gold leg.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought this. After what this guy has done to the club it's amazing that anyone would believe anything he says.
Question: the club is going to stay AMA chartered so how can any previous officer run for office? I thought the AMA's stipulation was the current officers had to be removed from office and couldn't run again? The other thread about the AMA getting involved has disappeared so I can't re-read what the AMA's requirements were.
Trying to stay positive.

FG staff can some one please explain why the AMA gets involved thread was taken off? My understanding was people of the club were more upset at the first thread.

He was dancing back and forth like a snake oil salesman at a carnival and broke out his best Cheshire cat grin when the toilet paper crack drew no cat calls from the the sheeple.

Yes, I agree, that other thread should remain up even if blocked from future posts. It contained all of the AMA details so everyone can refer back to them.

We as a club did what we did. Not taking responsibility is childish and counter productive. It's a boil on the clubs azz and covering it up and pretending it's not there only makes it grow bigger.

Lots of hypocrites in club, in the past when I would criticize Bush I would get the HOW DARE YOU, HE'S OUR COMMANDER IN CHIEF speech. Now that Obama is COMMANDER IN CHIEF, what happened to the importance of the office?
