Hi Reza! OCMA is working diligently on aquiring a new flying site, and we're currently in the process of getting paperwork signed to make it happen. If all pans out well, we're going to have a very nice home for the next 5 years. I can't make any announcement here, yet, but I will tell you that the future looks very good for the club. The sites we are looking at are bigger than the MCAS, without flyover problems. Hang tight, I expect an announcement in the next few weeks. In the meantime, go to Prado to huck, it's a great field with great folks.

Thanks dudes.

Hi Max,
This is a great news!!!! I heard that the new field will be just a few miles from where I live.

Do you know how soon we can fly at the new field? By June of this year?

Hey Kev! Good to see ya buddy. Right now, I have no news for you, as quite frankly there is none. On the same token, I have no timeframe. All I can say at this point is that what the board is working on looks positive.

What are you flying nowadays Kev? Can't wait to hook up again -- BTW, it's feburary dude, you promised you would take up 3D... I have your solemn oath on video.

Hey Guys,
What ever happened to Mile Square Park? I know there were plans to build a golf course there but I dont think they ever did. Anyways, if you can't find a field you guys are welcome to fly at my field in Fallbrook (No. San Diego county). It's a dirt field but its better than nothing. Also, there is a noise restriction, my 40% Extra with canisters and 32x10 NX prop just barely makes the cut.

Mile square park is now a golf course and a crappy one at that. They did that a long time ago. Well over 10 years. Max, I am looking forward to a new O.C. field. Give me a jingle on my cell if you hear any more. Prado is nice, but it is too cramped to practice IMAC there. They have an altitude limit at 400ft and some high end IMAC sequences are too hard with a 40%er. We now have to go all the way to Riverside to fly IMAC. Oh, well, my main squeeze is 3d anyway.

Al, you had me scratchin' my head for a second there -- We have a Carson here near LA, but I'm pretty sure the only things getting flown there are knives, bullets, and rock cocaine -- then I saw the NV... Duh.... Still fields here in socal to fly at, albiet quite a drive, but with time, I'm sure we'll have some good news regarding an OC flying site.

I think a big thank you is also in order to my fellow board members Bob, Jason, Dan, and John for all their efforts in finding a new site. It's not an easy task trying to find 90 acres of land smack dab in the middle of "The OC" to dedicate to toy airplanes, but if anyone can make it happen, these guys can.. We're making headway. Thanks guys.

Max,
That is great news! I heard that this field is less than 10 miles from where I live. I hope I will see you get ready for Las Vegas IMAC at this new field soon.

I feel your pain my brothers. How long of a drive is it for most of you guys to get to your fields? My home field is about 15 min away and the other club I belong to is 45min away. i think I'm a bit of a whiner about having to go to the farther club when we lose our home feild.

That sucks. Well, at least you have another place maybe?
