I can't speak for FSone, but I like G3.5 and it serves it purpose.

ALL SIMS SU*K just pick one and it will teach you the correct inputs to learn how to do whatever you are learning. There is no sim out there that will make you the next QQ.

I have FSONE and G3.5 and FSONE feels like it is still in Beta phase of development. I'm not going to debate which has better physics since that is so subjective, but based on graphics, user interface, stability, and variety of planes, G3.5 is the winner. FSONE has been out for nearly a year and all we've gotten from Horizon are a couple of band-aide patches.

I've flown both G3 and FSOne, and currently own FSone and the physics in high alpha are much better with FSOne than with G3. although it might lack in landscapes and number of planes, inertiasoft is working hard on getting more in. the Funtana on FSOne is close to exactly flying like the real thing--I own both of them.

as for IMAC practice and such, probably G3.

"Good" and "Free" rarely go together.

3.5 is good FS one is better and it comes to one part of the programming. Physics. G3.5 doesn't have very realistic physics. If you take a look at the FSONE website you can instantly tell a difference. Although FSOne doesn't have a surpluss amount of planes like 3.5 it will help in the feel of flying for real. You can usually test one at your local hobby shop.

3.5 user here. While I love the ability to fly on-line with others, the physics definitely took a step back in 3.5 vs. 3.0 IMO. (I fly heli's on the sim and not planes so YMMV.)
