We need an "other" option for this poll.....

I loved G3 and G3.5 when it came out, however, I'm not really thrilled with it anymore. Maybe it's just thatI don't have all my planes that I tweaked, but I'm only satisfied. I flew FSOne when it first came out and I wasn't thrilled with it. It was ok, but not like the real thing. It just didn't have that "feel" to it. It could have changed by now... Who knows..

fsone is horrible. too many bugs, poor user interface, lack of planes, and no significant updates from the developers. how long has the expansion pack been promised? Horizon - If you're not going to release a product within a few months, do not advertise it!

I had AFPD Pro Deluxe for 2 years, sold it and now I have G3.5. I really think neither of them have physics that truely represent 3D. The cool thing about AFPD is more planes to choose from and its easier to get more planes.... More planes allow you to find one that is closer to the physics you think is real. I think the smaller planes and helicopters are more realistic in G3.5. I think with the bigger planes, its a toss up with a slight edge to AFPD.

G3.5 has more software control and has a cool on-line method to join others who are flying. I really like that because eventually you get bored flying by yourself whether at the field or on the Sim. Its also more real word. This is why I traded. Dodging Circle Flyers and helicopters while your on the deck....thats good practice to be able to pull your plane out of harms way. I know because my last real plane got taken out by someone while I was hovering.

So the answer to your question is they both have their disadvantages and advantages. You need to define more exactly what you are expecting.

I say fsone, I'm friends with michael selig and his step father, michael puts alot of work in on fsone, making the planes, and doing all the math. He truly has an amazing set up trying to get it just right. It just takes time. The reason for lack of planes on fs one is that michael is making them all.

I like the 3.5. I objectivley tried both, over the coarse of a month or so. I feel that FS one's physics are better than 3.5. I am going to switch as soon as I get a computer that can handle it. That is the only drawback to FS1, the CPU usage.

I've owned almost every sim out there but I still think FS One has the best physics. I think the "Hangar Pack" is available now? LINK Anyway, I am a freelance model maker and one of the companys I do work for is Inertiasoft (the makers of fsone) and I've personally made several of the new planes for FS One including the "Showtime" so I might be a little biased..

Could you please ask him if he could make more "hi-end" Imac/freestyle models, not just 40 size trainers...? I also need more 30-90 size helis
Trex 600, Logo 500/600, Synergy N9 +++

I must say I'm a bit dissapointed that there haven't been released more airplanes and helis by now. The Flight Pack 1 is also a bit "skinny" IMHO. From a users point of view the sim gets boring real fast without new models being added. If the physics are that complicated and it takes a year to create 10 new models inertiasoft should realy consider hiering more people to create models.

Bubba, what do you like about aerofly? I am just curious. I am planning on buying a different sim.
