| ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hugely helpful info!!!!!! Modeled as a kid and always looked at the RC stuff as something only the rich kids got to do. Now my son and I are looking into it, and I want to start off on the computer before we crash/buy a bunch of stuff. It's easy to poo poo what research is not, but my many thanks to you for taking the time to put this together. You very much helped out a newbie. I'll pay it forward when I can. |

Great chart!!!! Makes a sim decision HARDER now!!! I'm narrowed down to RF, AFPD, and FS 1. Looking for something good I can just plug and play with on my 10X.

I've all ways found afpd to be the best all around. the realflight series has great visuals, but from a standpoint of physics, you can get a more realistic flight out of fms... fs one is pretty good, but the limited upgradability is a definate setback..... overall go with afpd, and you wont regret it.

Cyber...wow, hats off to you. That is a ton of research. The chart is great! I wish there was a clear winner. Each has the same number of pros and cons, so the real challenge is to actually try them all at the store, then decide. Thank you for thinking of all of us with this post. Definitely good food for thought. I ended up buying RF G 4.5...I tried Phoenix, FS One and Real Flight. I just liked the intense graphics with Real Flight...oh, and the controller is very easy to use, etc...
