GP or the Hanger 9 one? I didnt know Great Planes came out with a 260. If you mean the H9 one, its ballistic with a DA 50. Big time power.

I own one with DA50. Weighs 14.2 with spinner and prop RTF. Awesome plane! Flys as good as a plane this size can. very little coupling in knfie edges, means no mix required at all. Fastes roll rate that you can imagine in high rates. You can hover it below half throttle and pull unlimited vertical with 3/4 throttle. Ask any questions that you may have. Here's a video www.gholamipour.com/rcplanes click on the one says Extra 260.

By the way, it comes with great hardware not the throw away stuff. For the price you can not find a better plane! Only thing is CF landing gear is weak and you have to grease it all the time or when you see delamination just open it up and use thin CA in between the plies it will hold a lot stronger. If you bought one and needed custom graphics, let me know. I can make a good deal.

Thanks mate, what you have done with your Extra 260 is what I am looking for, I will go and download some of the videos from the website you mentioned.
Did the spinner come with the kit or did you have to buy it. Also did you use the canister style muffler of the in cowl pitts muffler. Just want to know if the inside of the fuse gets too much heat from the canister style muffler?

Anymore questions I will let you know, thanks guys for your time Cheers

I used Pitts Style muffler. It's tru-turn spinner. The kit comes with all the hardware but spinner and switches. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Checked out your video that is a nice looking plane on the ground and it presents itself well in the air.
Like you mentioned it has plenty of power with the DA-50 installed. Looks like the spare DA-50 and in cowl pitts muffler on the bench will have a new home in Extra 260

What size is the spinner, is about 3 1/4" in diameter?
What size prop are you using?

This plane is something to fly till I get my CompArf 3m in the air.

Hey Reza,

I would like to verify the proper length of the Standoffs for the DA 50 install....2 7/8 or 3"

Also what kind of graphics do you offer?

Thanks ,

Larry
