I know some of you guys have an the Hanger 9 Extra 260 with a Saito 220 on it for power. I am building one now with that engine. I have a couple of questions: 1. How did the plane balance? did you have to add any noise wieght? 2. What did you do about the muffler, did you have to add tubing to the muffler or cut a hole in the cowl for the muffler? 3. How does the plane fly, enough power? Thanks for the help. Last edited by sgoen; 01-23-2007 at 07:46 PM. |

Where do you have the rudder servo mounted , tail or up in fuse on pull pull. I am curious to i have one to build and if that is the case on that much lead up front i might as well go with a small gasser .

I talk to Horizon Hobbies about this problem. They said with a Saito 180 you would have to add about 18-20oz of weight to the nose. has anyone else had to do this? |

I have to add 0 weight to balance. I have the battery in the stock location (per the instruction manual), and it balances great.

| ![]() ![]() Here are some pics of mine. After flying with the battery on the fuel tank, it has been moved back next to the receiver for proper balance. It was nose heavy with the battery where it is in the pic. Eric |
