Does anyone know of a 35% size plane that flys like a foamy? I think Max told me the QQ 102" Yak fits the bill (if it was you that told me this Max, is the power to weight similar to a foamy?). I love flying my foamys so much that I find myself flying them instead of my big planes. I leave them on high rate (with lots of expo) and have a blast. The power to weight ratio is insane. Lately I have been asking myself why I want another $5000.00+ plane when I have so much fun with my Shock Flyer Yak or my new Hobby Lobby Hod Rod. |

I feel the same as you Storklappe...... I think its because of convienence and Price$$$$. I have a 30% Yak 54, and though it is a blast to fly, I often find myself in the front yard flying my foamies. I get my fix and without the stress of crashing another $2000.00 + plane. When I get a sponsor to buy me the 40% ers, I might put the foamies down for the summer!!!!!Well going out to fly, see ya... ![]() John |

Don't know what you're looking for but a CA Yak 2.6m can be kept feather light, and fly as close to a foamie as anything else I've ever had my hands on. It's setup was a DA-100 on stock cans, on 5955 per surface, I think it was an HS-85 on throttle but can't remember (it was smaller than a standard), 2 cell 1000 li-poly on ignition and a 2 cell 2400 li-ion on RX. The thing weighed around 20 pounds, it was insane. With a ZDZ 80 or something it would be even crazier.

Storky, sounds like an analogy I've made about the QQ lineup - they are very light on the wings, and when properly powered pull out like a rocket. That of course is just one dude's opinion, if you have the means, I don't see a foamy as an equal replacement, but that's just me. But I hear ya! Since I left my plane at The Nall a few weeks ago, I've been without anything to fly - which means electric time! I enjoy the heck out of my UZI XXL, but would consider it a supplement instead of a replacement to other planes in the herd. Both are a blast to fly.
