The safest would be 2-5955's on each aileron. I've seen them flown with 1-8611 on each and they were fine, but the safest route that you listed would be 2-5955. The ones with the single 8611 weren't being flown at high speed. I've seen these Ultimates flown high speed with 2-8611/5955 on each aileron and it worked well. |

what size motor and prop are you using . I use a DA 150 and Vess 32a with one 8611a per surface and it works great IMO it would be hard to over fly this plane . what you have to do is watch your weigth.

I've seen it with 1 2721 on each aileron..........3-D just fine for over a year until it met a early demise into a barbwire fence on a dead stick

the ailerons on the Ultimate are about the same size as a comparable 33-35% size mono. to me, the speed doesnt change from 1/2 to full throttle straight and level. full power not needed on downlines anyway as it might exceed VNE for the plane... i wouldnt take the chance. If in doubt, go ahead and setup with 2 servos. but 1 300-400 in ounces will be plenty. |

do the ailerons have many lighten holes that cause it to have some flex in it. Can one sheet it to shiften it up and then run only one? The flyers that are running one was there any mods to do this? (ie move the servo, sheeted, ect)

the ailerons do have an open bay to them, so yes, they can be sheeted. i would be curious if anyone could tell a difference back to back. it should, but i have no issues....
