| Gettin' Lower! ![]() | Does anyone know where SD models gets their black nylon wing bolts that come with their ARF kits today. They are very nice and allows for you to tighten them with just two fingers. I'd love to get my hands on some of them. I went on their website and contacted troybuilt models but he doesn't sell them individually. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tony Last edited by hudsont62 : 08-29-2007 at 07:01 PM. | It will fly!!! | Tony, I know the type of wing bolts you are talking about. They are like a wing bolt with a tab across the head that makes them easy to install and remove without tools. I have not seen any like them any where.

| Gettin' Lower! ![]() | Tower has them. $1.89 for two. I used them in my CA 35% Extra, worked great. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJUP0&P=Z |

| Super Contributer ![]() | You might have to do a little searching but, if you can find a place locally that sells stuff from "Spaunaur" you'll be in luck. Probably have to order them in but, really cheap I got 100 6-32 and 100 4-40 nylon thumbscrews for about $15http://www.spaenaur.com/pdf/sectionB/B334.pdf Cheers, Dave |

| Lawn Dart Pilot ![]() | Here is what I started using. I had a hard time finding what I was looking for, then I finally found these Thumb Screw Knobs on McMaster Carrs website. I got a pack of 10 for less than $5.00 U.S. They have different shapes and colors. I chose red because it is easy to look inside the fuse and see them. You need to supply your own bolts, so I got some 1/4-20 nylon socket head bolts from Micro Fasteners. You just press the bolt into the knob and you are done. The p/n for the Thumb Screw Knobs is 94052A341. Here is the link http://www.mcmaster.com/ If this isn't exactley what you are looking for, then look around their website. I am sure you will find what you need somewhere.

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | The thumb bolts that come in the SD Model planes are made in-house in on of many injection molding machines they own. You should be able to call the warehouse in San Francisco and order up some packages of the bolts. The phone number is on www.sd-model.com Garrett Morrison |
