It seems that everytime someone hears aerobatic, it has to be 3D, , not so. all guys involved with 3D flying , how about trying to fly IMAC for just one season, then you will understand that 3D isn't everyting,

Frank doesn't want people to fly there airplanes like helicopters, and I agree...

what's so wrong with scale?

like i said, 3D is not the only style of flying that's fun....

besides, watching a Texan do a 1' pass at full throttle is more exciting than watching something hover at half power infront of someone for 5 minutes.

i agree with Roger!

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL?? tHEY DON'T WANT ANY 3d TYPES AT a control line event either.... if he wants a large scale "Warbird-Circle-Flying" event.. so be it... I am glad he made it clear up front the pilots they are catering to. If it bugs you that much... go organize your own 3D event and make it known that non-3D-warbird types aren't welcome... really.. no big deal in my mind.

YEA Man, everyone should appreciate many styles of flying.
I mean how many Spitfires were at the huckfests?
We didn't even set up any stipulations to not have them come, but they knew.
I think this events sounds great, and I bet a 70% Stadacher or an 80% 260 flying in a Scale manner would be welcome.

Well he should say no 3D type flying such hovering/rolling harriers and stuff to that effect. Obviously he only wants warbirds there. He should say that. Who's to say that just because we have 3D airplanes we cant fly scale. I could fly scale and keep the hovering and harriers out of it. Its just the way he says it is what makes folks mad. (We prefer real “scale” models) What does that mean?? Is my Cap 232 not "scale"?? Does Matt Chapman fly a scale airplane?? Or is that just some plane he made up himself?? Come on!!!!

This is a private event by Frank Tiano, and thre prizes offered , so he is alowed to make the rules , its as simple as that.
