Well, They have had a red and yellow 40 size spacewalker forever. Kyle and Doug went through 10 of them and crashed the living crap out of all but one. They were great planes but the combination of Doug's terrible flying and overpowering them with large four-strokes and Kyle being in the right place at the wrong time, (That would be anytime Doug was in the air!) well......... It just didn't make for a long-lasting airframe. Now Seagull has a 82" span red and yellow Spacewalker that pretty much looks like a blown-up version of the 40 size one and they appear to do just fine. One problem with the looks department..... They have followed true Seagull tradition by putting on some wheel pants that look like they are way too big! I'm betting somebody over there at the factory has a bit of trouble matching up size of the pants to the rest of the airframe. Plane flies fine though! WT ![]() |

Must've been a fluke at the factory. Had the Decathlon back in the nitro days. What a joke!!! The only fun time I had with that plane was installing a small bag of gasoline, a 9 volt battery, a switch, a cheesy servo, and an electronic match from Estes. Switched out the Saito .82 for an old royal .40, took it out to the flying field on a rainy day and lit it up.

Completely agree with you guys about Seagull. Had one of their 60 size yaks. Flew beautifully is ever aspect. One day i had the bright idea of trying an inverted flat spin with it.....inverted flat spin with a seagull yak....lets just say, she did it really nice and flat but wouldn't come out of it for the life of me. so right into the ground it went. same thing happened with a buddies 60 size 330s from them. flat spin right into the ground. new rule at our flying field: dont buy a seagull plane ever.
