Default Possible 33% 260 from seagull models $399

http://www.seagullmodels.com/GalleryDetail.asp?id=17

The info givin from seagull says to contact horizon, but horizon says possibly after the 1st of the year. If the price is going to be $399 us dollars you can count me in on one. Post here if you can find out more info on this plane. Thanks

If they come from the same factory as the smaller planes do, I'll pass. Have you owned any of their other offerings?

The cutout in the cowl is funny.

The price they listed is 399 at the factory. By the time you ship an individual unit here it will be comparable in cost to some of the high quality brand names availble here. Why take the chance?

I've not been the least impressed with any of the seagull models so far. I'd pass as well.
EDIT: I just looked at the pic. They could at least run the plug wires inside the cowl and just cutout the area for plug cap clearance. That should tell you enough. Catalog a new ship with the worst pic. DUUUUUUUUUUH. Yep, I'll pass

It took me around 4 planes a few years back to realize you get what you pay for.

Yep! BLING, BLING! There is still one of those Blingers still sitting at the LHS from last year. My take on the 260, (besides the funky plug wire location and the cylinder cut-out so big you could back a freight train through it!) How about the 40-42% wheel pants on this thing?? Reminds me of Urkle wearing Shaq's sneakers to prom.......

yall musta had a bad batch,, my seagull edge flys great and is very lightly built,, as for crap,, i dont think so esspially for a 179 buck arf, and it held up in a midair, and was able to land.. i may not go for this 33% but all the smaller ones iv messed with flew great.

That thing looks really ugly as everyone has said because of that cowl cut out. Whoever decided to do that made a big mistake because I haven't seen any other airplane with that kind of cut out. Also, as everyone has said, you get what you pay for. $399 for a 33% 260 seems a little too good to be true. I mean you barely get a 50cc airplane for that let along a 33% plane. I suspect the quality is not too rocket hot.

Count me out also, looks pretty bad

Neil

All of the Seagull models I have flown where heavy, flew poorly, terrible stalling tendencies and where poorly constructed. Other than that they “Rocked” in fact that’s how they flew.

my lil egde looks pretty good to me... compaired to the yak and 260 in the same size this has the least amount of wood sheeting, and doesnt wieght much ,, heck if a OS 91 will pull it vertical in a scale fashion,, and the others need a 1.25 tho i do agree with the tip stalling, and wing rocking in harriers i dont like, but otherwise its a good flying machine,, or maybe i just dont know what im missing becuase i dont spend a few extra 100 bucks to get a better set up,, but then again,, WHY??? consider this is a 60 size not a 100cc..

Mike, its the planes dood.
I tried for 3 years to get cheaper planes to fly as good the the real planes.
After 3 years I spent 3 times the money on cheap planes that flew "OK" at best.
Get a NICE plane and you won't believe the difference.
I was getting SO frustrated, and kept asking myself.. why can't I do the things other are doing.. am I going to suck forever.... but... when I got a good plane for the first time.. I couldn't believe it... it was a night and day difference.

The tip stall and wing rock you speak of are a product of higher wing loading and possibly incidance issues...

Get a good plane. You will save money in the long run.
