Default Fail Safe Slider Switch / Pin & Flag in place...

I am wondering if I can use the spare Fromeco pin and flag switch I have on my smart fly super regulator in place of the fail safe slider switch. I will have to use an extension because the end is female and the reg requires a male. Can I; dudes ? I do not want to ever have that slider switch shut off on me. I don't use them on my helis and feel very uneasy with it on my planes to.
But then again I do not want to be pulling my canopy off and putting it back on after every flight to power on and off. Kind of a pain.
I guess I am not following exactly how the fail switch works and if it is different than the pins function?

I know if the switch fails, power is routed around the switch so no power is loss to the rx. But will the current still be rerouted with the pin ?

Yes, but you need to rewire it - takes 12 seconds. Just remove the center (positive) lead from the connector and put it in the signal wire position. If you don't, then expect smoke. The slider soft switch works by opening a circuit between the negative and signal wire to turn the 9100 on.

I am using a smartfly super reg going to a smart fly power expander eq 10. The switch will plug into the regulator.
I will have to put an extension with 2 male ends between the pin sitch and regulator.

What is the easiest way to remove that pin without damaging it? Never pulled a wire out it's housing to be honest. A servo wire that is.

Thank you for your help. Done deal; no smoke.
