Question Finding Specific Used Airframes

I'm going to be honest and say that I'm in the marker for a used Carden 35% CAP (although a 40% might also be attractive) that's in good condition. I don't mind an airframe that has a few dings, needs to be recovered and repainted, or just needs a little glue. Basically something that I could overhaul. But my question is how does someone go about looking for a specific used airframe?

If you were just in the market for any used airframe, there'd be no quesiton. You'd just see what's available and pick. But in my case, I'm looking for a specific airframe so do I need to place a post and see if anyone pipes up or do searches on a regular basis or what?

Anybody have any suggestions?

If you are looking for a perfect Carden Cap, SleepyC has one for sale right now. Its in the airplane section here on FG. I dont think he flew it much.

Yeah, I saw that. It's a nice plane, but I'd honestly rather have a 35% than a 40% and plus I don't know how I'd get it from him.

Also, I'm in graduate school so something that's a little beaten up that needs to be overhauled is more attractive. Yes, I have to work on it, but then I can recover it and make it somewhat my own. Plus I can get it for cheaper going that route. I think SleepC is asking a very fair price, but I'd honestly rather have something that needs to be recovered and repainted. It's kind of hard to justify spending a bunch of money on a well maintained airframe when I can get A) a used one that needs some work or B) the H9 33% CAP for $800 new. Plus I wouldn't want to do anything to SleepC's CAP because I like the way it is now and that takes of part of the fun lol.

Keep an eye on the Ads in RCU, I've seen them there quite often, as a matter of fact, there is one there right now.
