Instead of spending lots of money for reliable fail safe switches, why dont we use a Female Deans connector and connect it in series between the battery and the receiver on the + wire. Then make the male connector as a shorting plug. Now we have a high current arming switch . Would this not be very reliable and very high current at the same time? Electric fliers use this quite often in their power circuits.

Is there a clever way to mount the Deans connector to the fuselage side? I know the Deans connectors are difficult to remove. I would hate to tear off the fuse side or break some of the glue joints . Tks

I made a quick release push pin for Hatch retention and I just plug it in just like you would an electric.. Rick

I use these in all my non-foamy electric planes, works great. Only concern I would have on a I.C. plane is the shunt vibrating out. | ||||||||||||||||||

I think the Anderson power poles have a safer locking mechanism . They can easily be mounted on a piece of plywood through the locking pin hole and for safety c/a the pieces together . Also in Powerwerks accesssories they have a nice E shaped metal pieces for mounting the powerpoles to the fuselage side. http://www.powerwerx.com/anderson-po...e-accessories/ |
