I have no experience with the 50cc but I have the 42% Dietrick Slick and yes there was some minor stuff that had to be addressed, all arf's have issues of some kind but the plane is very pretty, has nice lines and flies great, that's why I still have it.

| I was a sales rep for Kevin and stopped for my own personal reasons. I had 5 different 50cc. Extra's and couldn't keep any of them. I would take it to a show and let everyone fly it and never bring it home. Sold every one and had to keep gettting another for myself and end up sellng that one. The 50cc flew awesome and I used all the supplied hardware to show it works. I had the 42% Extra 260, the 39% 300LP and the first prototypes of the 42% Slick 540 and the 35% 100cc Extra, they all flew great and stayed together no matter what I did. I tried to break them and only bent numerous wing tubes with no structural damage. You won't go wrong by getting one. Scott H.

I too have the 42 slick and I must say that it is one plane that has gotten alot of comments about its looks and flight. A good friend of mine aka plane bender flew this plane and love it comented that it was one of very few planes he has flown that had no coupling out of the box and flew as true as you could ask for also this plane is a floater flying it with a 170 and 8711 all the way around. and was the fastest shiped plane that i have ever ordered arrived 2 days after ordering from colorado to nor cal. took ace over a week to get my yak here from so cal. this is a plane that id choose to fly daily.

It was shown at Toledo. Here's a link. I wasn't there, and I don't have too many details. Someone who had been to Toledo thought the ETA may be late summer, but I don't see any details on Dietrich's home page (or any info on FG or RCG or RCU for that matter). This thread reminded me that I had seen it when someone posted some pics on RCGroups. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/attac...mentid=2446542 and http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/attac...mentid=2440786 |

Not a very good job glueing the hinges. Must agree. Barely any material on the rudder side of the hinges. Maybe that came from the factory that way? I had to install the vertical AND glue my rudder on. But mine is a 50cc.

I have the 42% 260 and the 42% Slick. The 260 only had one complaint from me and it was the covering. It didn't want to stay stuck down, but wasn't a big deal as it was only a few small areas. The Slick, for me has had a few issues but they have all been minor and easily resolved. I have jack hammered my tail into the ground several times. I can say that the tail is not weak like pfoil wants you to think. Ignore all of his comments as he never has anything usefull to say. He likes to stir s by badmouthing everything he can when he sees a thread about it. Just look at some of his posts from the past and you'll see for yourself. I have had some frustrations with my planes but you have to remember that they are arfs and ALL brands will have some issues. I would buy another Dietrich without hesitation. They aren't the best but they are still good planes and fly excellent.
