CHEAP GIANT SCALE!!

hey guys,

im kinda short on cash and looking for a good cheap largeish scale plane plane to get started on...prfferably a yak or an extra...i have a DA 50 ready to go...any suggestions?

Go on google and look up KMP rc airplanes.

Thier Yak is 87'' just like all the others but it is $400.

Thats alot cheaper than any one elses plane unless you get a wild hare but the KMP planes fly better than the wild hare planes.

I had very good luck with my WH Edge when I had it. SleepyC just put together a EBAY (KMP) Edge and his is edge is 2-3 lbs lighter than his EBAY (KMP) Yak.

YEa... the KMP planes are hit or miss. One is light one is heavy, and I think its even different for the same kind of plane (ie. my Yak weighed almost 19lbs, the SAME gear in the KMP edge weighs 15.3lbs!!

But still for the loot great planes. Unless you crash one..

You could buy a brand new Aviation Models yak 54(30%) for $475. I would go w/ that instead of KMP.(IMO)

I concur.
At that price... go with the AM YAk.
The KMP planes are "rejected" planes... they are cool for the money, and were great for $300,
but that only mattered when other QUALITY yaks were $600 - $700!
But if you can get the quality that AM offers now for only $475 - its a NO brainer!!

The new Wild Hare 50 cc Extra 300 looks awesome to me and it is supposed to be lighter than the other 50 cc Wild Hare planes. Do a search on this plane.

According to the ticker on the home page at AM the 30% Yak In the Red White and 2 Blues is $499.00. If that is within your budget, and you like the scheme. that would be my choice. Sammy makes high quality kits, and everyone at Aviation Models is very customer friendly. I currently own five of their kits, and I have two more on the way.
