Default Gas Tank Placement Question

On my 36%, I am placing the gas tank on the fuselage floor against the wing tube to get it close to the balace point. It occurred to me that I could put the tank under the floor and place it exactly on the balance point. Technically, having the tank right on the balance point would keep the balance the same from the beginning to the end of a flight. My question is: Could you really feel the difference? Do most guys put the tank on the floor against the wing tube?

on my 27% (RIP ) I had it right above the wing tube and it was just in front of it. if you yhink about it a 24oz tank is a pound and a half that gos away yes it does make a difference and yes you can fell it. mine wasnt to far off and I noticed a slight difference at the end of the flight.

next to the cg is good. A gas carb should be able to pull fuel from wherever the tank is. You might think about getting it off the floor if you 3d. I can be harder to establish a hover and torque rolls etc. You have to lean the plane on its back slightly. otherwise negligible.
